Highlights from our 2026 Open Day
What a lovely way to spend an autumn Sunday.
Last weekend, we opened the doors to Barns & Yard for our 2026 Open Day, welcoming couples, friends and families to explore the barns and grounds, meet our team and discover some of the brilliant suppliers who help bring weddings here to life.
A little autumn inspiration
One of the joys of an Open Day is seeing the venue dressed for a celebration — offering a glimpse of just how different Barns & Yard can look and feel depending on the choices you make.
This year, autumn arrived with plenty of colour.
Inside the barns, tables were layered with warm pinks, terracotta and rich berry tones, with beautiful seasonal flowers, coloured glassware and candlelight bringing softness and warmth to the historic timber and brick.
Outside, the colour continued down by the lake, where abundant autumnal flowers framed the water in shades of coral, burnt orange, pink and deep red. A beautiful reminder that an autumn wedding certainly doesn’t have to mean a muted palette.
Exploring Barns & Yard
The Open Day is always a chance to experience much more than the barns themselves.
With the October sunshine making an appearance, guests could wander through the gardens, explore the lake and grounds and get a feel for how all the different spaces connect.
There were plenty of lovely details to discover along the way too — from relaxed deckchairs on the lawn to a rather beautiful classic Morgan, and lots of ideas for how both the indoor and outdoor spaces might become part of a wedding day.
It’s one thing to see a venue in photographs, but quite another to walk through it, take in the views and begin imagining where your own favourite moments might happen.
Meeting our wonderful suppliers
Of course, our Open Day wouldn’t be what it is without the wonderful people who join us.
This year we welcomed a fantastic collection of trusted suppliers and partners, spanning flowers, photography and cakes to stationery, entertainment, menswear, food, bar, transport and more.
Days like these give couples the chance to put faces to names, discover new ideas and chat informally with people who know Barns & Yard and understand how weddings work here.
A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time, creativity and enthusiasm to make the venue feel so full of inspiration.

Open Days are a lovely opportunity for us to share the place in a slightly different way: the barns dressed, the grounds bustling and lots of talented people gathered together under one roof.
