Highlights from our 2025 Open Day
What a day! We’re still feeling the buzz from our Open Day on Sunday 5 October 2025 — it was such a pleasure to open our big barn doors and welcome so many couples, family, and friends to explore Barns & Yard in full “celebration mode.”
From 11am through to 3pm, our barns, grounds, and hidden corners came alive with laughter, conversation and inspiration.
Exploring Every Corner
We loved how guests drifted naturally from The Threshing Barn to The Cartshed, from the airy Gallery to the intimate Cider Barn — each space offering a unique story and feel. And stepping into the grounds, wandering paths, or pausing at the lake, there were countless moments to imagine your own day unfolding here.
The light was wonderful — soft autumn sunshine filtering through beams, warm tones highlighting textures and natural features. It’s always a joy to see couples pause and picture their ceremony under a canopy of leaves, or their first dance in one of the barns, lit just so.
Meeting the Makers Behind the Magic
One of our favourite parts of the day was introducing you to the talented local suppliers who bring weddings at Barns & Yard to life. From florists and stylists, to caterers, photographers and bar teams — it’s so rewarding to see guests chat with them, feel their passion, and picture how their style might suit your day.

We loved seeing guests linger over sample cakes, peek at floral sketches, chat through photo portfolios, and sip a glass of fizz while planning out ideas.
